Personal Gift Ideas

Receiving a personal gift is one of the best things to open on Christmas morning so today, I'm going to share a few ideas on how to make your gifts personal.

LABELS

Putting festive labels on each individual gift you give with a little explanation on why you got that gift for someone is a great way to make gifts personal. All you need to do is buy (or make) Christmas labels and write a sweet message on it - it doesn't take long but the person recieving it will love the fact that you've thought about what to get them.

CARDS

I mentioned this in my Christmas Website Ideas post but I just wanted to mention it again because honestly, I love writing and receiving cards. Making an effort with cards is one of the nicest things because cards are one of things you keep from Christmas and look back in years to come.

THOUGHTFUL GIFTS

Getting a gift which is meaningful is a gift you're going to remember. There is nothing worse than getting a gift which you are never going to use. Think of all the interests of the person you are buying for and buy something along them lines. If the person likes candles, buy them a Christmas scented candle - it's easy. If you start getting your friends and family more thoughtful presents, they will (probably) put more thought into your presents as well. If you want better presents, you have to give better presents!

HOMEMADE GIFTS

If you don't have much money this Christmas, you could use glass jars and fill them up with that persons favourite snack. It's a great way to make a homemade gift which is super simple and cheap! If you don't want to give them food, you could put stationary in them and decorate the jar with multi-coloured Sharpies. Similarly, you could decorate a mug with Sharpies, then put it in the oven for 20 minutes - this would be a great idea for a tea or coffee lover! Homemade gifts really do make Christmas special because they show that you've put a lot of effort into the gift and it also shows that you care about the person.

I hope you get a few useful ideas from this post which make some of your Christmas shopping easier!
